Die Zwei-Staatenlösung ist - soweit ich mich erinnere - von den "Palästinensern" im Laufe der letzten sieben Jahrzehnte schon vier mal angeboten worden. Gegenwärtig gibt es auch keine nennenswerten palästinensischen Führer, die dafür wären. Und dass die Israelis nach den Gräueltaten der Hamas vom 07. Oktober 2023 beim Nova-Musikfestival keinen Verhandlungsspielraum mehr sehen, kann man nachvollziehen. Ich erinnere mich auch noch, als der damalige ägyptische Präsident Hosni Mubarak, an den PLO-Führer Jassir Arafat gerichtet, gesagt hat: "Unterschreib, du Hund!" (Unterzeichnung des Gaza-Jericho-Abkommens am 4. Mai 1994) Nur wenige Tage nach der Unterzeichnung rief Arafat in einer Rede in Johannesburg zum „Dschihad“ (heiligen Krieg) zur Befreiung Jerusalems auf. Zudem tolerierte oder unterstützte er im Hintergrund die wachsende Gewalt radikaler Gruppen wie der Hamas, die das Abkommen mit verheerenden Selbstmordattentaten in Israel torpedierten. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Zwei-Staaten-Lösung geht also gegen Null.
