গত রবিবারের SSC পরীক্ষা নিয়ে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় একটি বিভ্রান্তিকর প্রচার আমাদের নজরে এসেছে। যেখানে অভিযোগ করা হচ্ছে, বর্ধমানের কালনার একটি পরীক্ষাকেন্দ্রে শাঁখা-পলা-নোয়া পরিহিতা পরীক্ষার্থীনীদের প্রবেশে বাধা দেওয়া হয়। আমরা বিষয়টি নিয়ে বিস্তারিত খোঁজখবর করে যা জানতে পেরেছি, তা এরকম। রাজ্যের অন্যত্রের মতো বর্ধমানের ওই পরীক্ষাকেন্দ্রের মূল প্রবেশপথে পরীক্ষার্থীদের চেকিংয়ের দায়িত্বে ছিল একটি বেসরকারি সংস্থা। সেই সংস্থার এক কর্মী এক পরীক্ষার্থীনীকে হলে ঢোকার আগে নোয়া খুলতে বলেন, যেহেতু নোয়াটি ধাতব। পরীক্ষার্থীনী বিষয়টি পরীক্ষাকেন্দ্রের কর্তৃপক্ষের নজরে আনেন। বিষয়টি সঙ্গে সঙ্গে মিটে যায়, এবং নোয়া পরেই নিরাপদে এবং নির্বিঘ্নে উনি পরীক্ষা দেন। পুরো বিষয়টিই একটি বিচ্ছিন্ন ভুল-বোঝাবুঝির ঘটনামাত্র। সব ধর্মেরই প্রচলিত আচরণবিধি সরকারের কাছে সমান সম্মানের। তবু, এর সঙ্গে ধর্মকে জড়িয়ে যাঁরা বিভ্রান্তিকর এবং উসকানিমূলক প্রচার চালাচ্ছেন, তাঁদের বিরুদ্ধে প্রয়োজনীয় আইনি ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে। উপরোক্ত ঘটনাটি ছাড়া রাজ্যের কোথাও আর কেউ এ ধরণের কোনও অভিযোগ কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে করেননি। যদি কারও সঙ্গে এ ধরণের কিছু ঘটে থাকে, স্থানীয় থানায় জানালে আমরা ব্যবস্থা নেব।
