@DougRoxTV Hindsight is 20/20 and these decisions happen fast. My next question as an uneducated observer is it sure seemed like Boston could and possibly should have been called for about 3 penalties in OT alone. Yes/no?

@BillerVan You could also say take the penalty, which is valid, but it could have been a penalty shot, which gives more of an advantage to Past in that situation. Ideally, it shouldn't come to that and he should never sneak behind the D to begin with.

@BillerVan Ya he coulda been a little more physical, but he was behind, so chances would have been high that it woulda been a penalty because he cut off pathway to Past already. So Lyon could have cheated, but nobody anticipates a cutback like that. A great player just makes a great play.

@BillerVan That's tricky. Lyon honestly played the angle about as best as anyone, took away 3/4 of the net, with only like 6 inches of room to be beat. Once Past had Lyon moving, that cutback is just one of those, what a move moments.

@DougRoxTV Ok because this sounds so educated….my question then becomes if Sammy is more physical from that side does Lyon know that he can really only come back the other way? Again I have no legitimate knowledge and trying to learn.

@nielsonTSN1260 As the years go on and we continue to see every coach rely heavily on 97 and 29, it’s not going to change. Even in the olympics, when Canada has all the top coaches and 4 lines of allstars, they still go back to loading up and double shifting 97 and 29. They want the ice.

This is great to see but will the Oilers take ice-time away from McDavid and Draisaitl so Dickinson can match up against the other teams elites? I have a hard time believing that.
