This is a real disappointment this morning. We dropped 4 deg colder than projected. Heavy Frost in our late planted bean canopy this morning (29). There will be a lot of acres in this part of the world affected by this freeze.

@YogiFarmer Hi mark, I am not with soybean association or ksu anymore. I suggest you contact the Topeka office directly. Have you called them to see?

@DougShoup1 I left that soybean sample with the Topeka office in January and have tried half dozen times to learn the results. Can you help me?

@ArlanFF101 I can attest to this. I had 45bu DC soy go to 12bu because of a freeze in upper 20s on Oct 14 last year. They were 50% yellow leaves R6/R7 maturity at the time.

#Soybeans are also vulnerable. Damage can happen until the pod turns brown. Leaf drop alone doesn't determine maturity. #oatt

@rodgrisier1958 @MorganMcNeal90 Quickest turnaround on a harvestable bean in greenhouse in my experience is just shy of 90 days. Flowered usually 3-4wks after planting. Time from bloom to bean was like 58ish days. That help?

That's really weird,, Our late planted beans usually start blooming very soon after planting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the lowest post-harvest low in new crop KC Wheat since the July 2006 contract in 2005 and just below the July 2017 contract's 423'4 low made in Dec 2016. Another year of "lowest HRW acres since blah blah blah."
