@Doug_Adams2 Appreciate this advice Coach! When you say player goals, do you mean individual goals for each player? Or just a team wide goal for each individual to get to?

@BradyDoorey Fungo, BP arm and a focus on base running would be first! Next say yes to every recruiting opportunity or scouting report needed!

🚨Starting (tomorrow) May 25-June 1 per NCAA rules all D1 coaches will be in a “Dead-Period”. No in-person contact with recruits or their families, including watching them compete. #NCAA #D1Baseball #HawaiiBaseball #GoBows🤙

Coaches rarely, if ever, ghost recruits to be mean. They ghost because they’ve answered 167 emails today and accidentally forgot what year it is.

@BradyDoorey 1 - Learn 1 thing from every relationship you can use for your athletes 2 - Success is theirs, failure is yours 3 - Praise in public, discipline in private

If I could give one piece advice to families who are chasing college roster spots it would be this: Find someone you trust, with a track record, who has real relationships. And put your eggs in that basket. No doubt, the metrics matter, but baseball is such a small world, reputations and relationships mean so much for doors to be opened.

You wanna be a coach? ⚾️ You will feel unappreciated ⚾️ You will have people talk bad about you ⚾️ You will be consumed by the “job” ⚾️ You will have people question your every move ⚾️ You will be taken advantage of Is it worth it? Every coach who actually cares about his players and the team culture loves the process and the development. So yeah, it’s worth it in the long run and it’s incredibly rewarding helping young men develop into the people God created them to be… but man, it is really hard sometimes to keep going! *Coaches: You are needed, you are appreciated, you are important. Keep giving your all! #BaseballTruth

What is one piece of recruiting advice you received that turned out to be wrong? Not bitter, just curious. The poor advice in this space gets repeated until families think it is gospel. Let us name some of it.
