UPDATE: To avoid ruling on the Point of Order, the President Pro Tem pulled her motion back and sent a new list of gubernatorial appointees forward after REMOVING two appointees from the list. This is why we must not have a Rubber Stamp Senate, too many mistakes are being made.

Another MASSIVE error in the GOP’s plan to raise sales taxes.
State law requires ballot summaries to be 50 words or less. The summary Patterson wrote for his plan to raise sales taxes on everything (including gas) is 76 words.
He tried to bury the truth at the bottom.

Republicans want to RAISE TAXES on average Missourians and when someone points it out they start making excuses or claiming they haven’t read their own bill. It’s not a mistake, it’s a pattern.

Republicans want to match Missouri’s tax code to Tennessee’s. This would mean A LOT of tax increases. Including an almost 4x increase on the Grocery Tax. This would drive prices through the roof for Missouri families.
