@dissidentwest Isn’t the real problem the people who pushed feminism and abortion? They don’t need a World War when they can convince women to do the k!lling for them.

This is a serious betrayal from J.D. Vance. Best case: Vance just had a major lapse in judgment. Worse case: Vance is showing his true colors. Neither is good. Fantastic post by @Wesley_Todd_. You should follow him. 👇
Wesley Todd (Sensible Moderate)@Wesley_Todd_

J.D. Vance has no business endorsing Vivek Ramaswamy. I don't care if they were college classmates. Vivek made his millions scamming investors. He marketed intepirdine as a breakthrough Alzheimer's treatment, promising "the highest return on investment endeavor ever taken up in the pharmaceutical industry." By the time the drug failed clinical trials in 2017 Vivek had already cashed out 10s of millions of dollars. When the culture vibe shifted around 2023 Vivek opportunistically jumped out in front as an anti-woke candidate. Allegedly, he paid his way onto podcasts and used his smooth talking skills to pitch himself as a young, conservative leader. Along the way the mask began to slip, and the observant noticed him describing America as little more than an idea and equating Christianity to Hinduism. On Christmas in 2024 he crashed out, claiming "[our] American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long (at least since the 90s and likely longer)." This was his explanation for why top tech companies hired foreigners over native born Americans. Vivek denigrates Christianity, treats America like a sports team, and is likely to bring in tech and drone manufacturing at the behest of the tech right. He will be a disaster for Ohioans if elected. To make things worse, it now appears Ohio will elect a Democrat governor come November he's such a bad candidate. Just 2 years ago it was +11 for Trump. Now lockdown Czar Amy Acton is polling better than Vivek. A historic collapse. I know Vance was never going to endorse Putsch. But he also could have just been quiet. For all his talk of faith, America, and even recently the plight of White men in America he can never seem to actually do anything when it matters. He is sitting by silently as the promise of mass deportations is dying, the Epstein files are covered up, and a new war kicks off in the Middle East. He's endorsing a literal Indian anchor baby for Governor! This garbage candidate will harm the entire state, win, lose, or draw. We need a great man. Someone with Christian character, conviction, and courage. A man of action, not just great speeches and rhetoric. Vance isn't that man.

Last week Candace Owens told the world the Daily Wire had laid off over 50% of its workforce — then updated it to “60% absolute bloodbath.” I’m sure it will shock you to learn those figures aren’t anywhere close to the truth. But there’s a much bigger story beyond Candace’s "mistaken" reporting. The story is how lying has become the default operating system for huge swaths of both legacy media and the new online right. The Grift Industrial Complex rewards speed, sensationalism, and telling the audience exactly what it wants to hear over anything resembling journalistic standards, due diligence, or basic honesty. I know this world because I helped build part of it. We broke past the old gatekeepers for good reason. The old gatekeepers broke all of their own standards. But too few in new media even have standards to break. They say bad money drives out good. It turns out bad journalism does too. youtu.be/z59rdbK7VR4?si…

I’m shocked at the silence of American “Christians” about what Israel did in Gaza and now southern Lebanon. Our tax dollars, money we work for and pay to our government, paid for this. When I tried to defund Israel, only 5 other members of Congress voted with me. Now we are all stained with the blood of the innocent.
sarah@sahouraxo

Israel has wiped out 39 villages in South Lebanon and destroyed 40,000 homes. 39 centuries-old historic villages entirely erased from the map. In just 60 days. This is ethnic cleansing. This is terrorism. And not a peep from the complicit “international community”, of course.

Welcome back @IanCarrollShow, and thank you for shining a bright spotlight on the exponential growth of the digital mass surveillance apparatus that is being built around us at this time, as well as those who are building it. Thank you for rallying for tonight’s show. Sorry to hear about whatever health condition has been looming over you. I will be praying for your return to top form, and I know so many others will be too

@SoulCultivated @tishray Catholic schools still educate their students in the classics. Children are taught at 13 to 14 years old about theology, Latin, history, philosophy, classic novels, world history, etc. Classic education happens today - just not in the government run schools.

I agree with the larger point, but I think the examples need context. These were all exceptional people from very particular worlds: literary families, elite education, unusual ambition, or outright genius. The better point may be that education used to start earlier and assume more. Young people weren’t waiting until college to read Homer, Latin, Greek, history, and philosophy.

There is something fundamentally wrong with how we educate the young now. Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein at 18. Tolstoy published his first novel at 24. Napoleon was a general at 24. Pascal invented a calculator at 19. Mozart composed symphonies at 8. The common factor? All classically educated and trained. They were immersed in Greek and Latin, philosophy, mathematics, music, and history before adulthood.

@tishray Many Catholic schools still use the classic approach to educate their students. Latin, theology, world history, classic novels, are typical across the curriculum.

@Villgecrazylady Do you think Harpole intentially filed suit to grant CO discovery, knowing full well that his lawsuit won’t go anywhere? A back door way to help CO because he knows the truth and wants to help her? His lawsuit was bizarre. Could it actually be the “in” CO needs?

My favorite part of today’s lawsuit against Candace is when Harpole confirmed that no one had coordinated with Charis Bible College for Charlie’s security on September 11 but he throws Dan Flood under the bus for it 😏

@Iwendtster If she really wants to be a CEO, she needs to buck up and deal with the critics. Charlie did. But he understood that there’s no crying in baseball.

Just tell me your honest thoughts. How does Erika Kirk make you feel… I feel like all I’m watching is an actress. Nothing about her seems authentic. Either that or she’s weird AF and her PR team needs to be fired. But I’m just a conspiracy theorist.

Many of the left-wing journalists that attended the WHCD have spent years consistently calling President Trump a “Nazi”, a “threat to democracy”, and “Hitler”, yet they still joyfully attended the evening’s event…. If they truly believed their own rhetoric, they’re either joyfully willing to have dinner with “Hitler” or they’re lying to radicalize American citizens with narratives they know are grossly exaggerated. Either way, it exposes their game of ultimate hypocrisy: manufacture the hate and then profit off the results; even if it costs someone their life.
