For @X such antisemitic message: "Still about those disgusting Jews.... Sad that no one talks about the 80 million victims of the second war, they are probably "worse" than this Jewish vermin. May they burn in hell, phooey." is no violation of the Twitter rules. @elonmusk @lindayaX @Support Antisemitism has caused immense pain and suffering throughout history, leading to discrimination, violence, and genocide of which Auschwitz remains one of the most important symbols. Leaving such language unchecked perpetuates the cycle of hatred and reinforces the idea that such hateful language is acceptable on this platform. Remember: it did not start with gas chambers but hateful ideology that was expressed with words.

At five years old, I couldn't grasp the concept of a scapegoat; all I understood was that, because of Japan’s aggression that pulled the United States into the war, my family and I had to leave our home at gunpoint, taking with us only what we could carry. As I got older, I understood scapegoating for what it is: a channel for hate, blame, and bigotry. 1/

People using “not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character” to deter discussion of, teaching about, and protest against racism are not students of the comprehensive #MLK. My father’s dream and work included eradicating racism, not ignoring it.

Again: Don't be gaslit by those citing the work of scholars describing the skills of enslaved people to excuse the argument that Blk people benefited from slavery. No one is arguing enslaved people didn't have skills. The problem is pretending they needed slavery to acquire them.

My Republican critics are complaining that I’m making you all “woke” by sharing Indigenous history with you. I always thought I was simply providing you a supplemental education — that their schools failed to teach. Should I stop? Do you want me to stop?

If kids in Germany are strong enough to learn about the Holocaust, then kids in Florida should be strong enough to learn about slavery and the Native American genocide. Agree?

“If we do not begin focusing on social studies in early grades, we'll continue to have young adults who lack critical knowledge about their government, how to engage in the democratic process, and our collective history.” Here's what you can do.👇 edutopia.org/article/integr…

From 1819 and 1969, the U.S. government created or sponsored over 400 boarding schools "aimed at assimilating Native Americans into white culture." The abuse inflicted upon the "students" is still felt by survivors and descendants. From @RetroReport: retroreport.org/video/forced-i…

Serious question: People who are recommending books written in the 1990s to 12-year-olds, were you reading 30 year old books when you were that age? Aside from my dabbling in Montgomery and Weber, I wasn't reading books written during WWII in middle school.

Let’s strike the expression “ready to learn” from our collective vocabulary when it comes to young children. Learning begins in utero. Kids are born learning. There’s nothing to get ready for. Suggesting there is perpetuates the notion that learning begins in school. It doesn’t
