yeah because you have no solidarity with other creatives. if you understand why ai is bad for the environment and the arts but still use ai slop to replace cover artists then i just assume you have no respect or taste unless ai personally effects the job you want to do

my take on reading (or not) in-prog fics is that some people need to ease up on treating writers and fic like instant gratification machines. “what if it never gets finished?” then it never gets finished. more importantly: what can you enjoy about or learn from what’s there?

I still dont understand why people are so scared of an unfinished fic. I feel, given the nature of fanficiton, that a lot of fics are "unfinished" even if they are completed. Like when i write a oneshot that has a complete scene, but there's nothing beyond that. Nothing else is

ive read plenty of fics under the 10k word range that delivered the same amount of emotional investment and satisfaction as +50k word fics! its not about how many words you put on the page but how you utilize them!
