I kept seeing the same patient. Fifty-year-old women. Mouthful of amalgams. Classic mercury symptoms. They have had those fillings for 30 years. Why now? Because detox is not just chemistry. It is hormonal. NRF2, the master detox switch, works through a co-receptor called PXR, the pregnenX receptor. It responds to pregnenolone and progesterone. In perimenopause, those hormones drop fast. So the ability to turn up detox drops with them. Then comes the second hit. Relative estrogen dominance. Progesterone falls quickly through the 40s. Estrogen lingers. Progesterone increases GABA. It increases bile flow. Toxins leave the liver on bile. Estrogen increases glutamate. And it locks bile flow. That is why estrogen dominance feels anxious. So now you are in a double bind. The detox switch has less juice. And the highway out is partially blocked. Those amalgams you tolerated for decades suddenly have nowhere to go. You are trying to move into your 50s, 60s, 70s, doing longevity work. But there is no hormonal energy to power the cleanup. It is hard to move against a low-hormone system.

Mercury and Magnesium drchrisshade.com/the-hidden-tox… Tim Gray: Tell me Mercury magnesium. How does one affect the other? Chris Shade, PhD: If we're just talking about getting mercury out. So if we're inside a cell, there's Mercury there. It has to be bound to glutathione. You need the glutathione as transfers to bind those two together. You got your Mercury glutathione conjugate. How does it get out of the cell? They're called phase three transporters. They're transport proteins that recognize the toxin, glutathione conjugates the toxin, glucuronic acid conjugate, sulfate conjugates, and actively transport them across the cell membrane. Actively means they're going to use an ATP and a cofactor. So they're going to use the cellular energy. ATP going to go to ADP to drive the motor. And the cofactor is magnesium, and if you don't have the magnesium, you don't move this stuff out. If you don't have enough magnesium, your glutamate receptors are firing too high, which is going to put you into the anxiousness, which is going to put you into sympathetic overdrive, which is going to deprioritize detoxification. So you need it to run the transporters, you need it to calm and be cool. And I believe that mercury also has a poisoning effect on the uptake transporters for magnesium build a health that lasts. Fluorinated Compounds and Other Toxins | Highway to Health Podcast drchrisshade.com/removing-toxic… Jeremy Quinby: Are there any other toxins that you're really concerned about right now? And if you've seen the devil we know documentary about DuPont and Teflon? Chris Shade, PhD: They are bad. Fluorinated stuff is bad. Jeremy Quinby: It's on Netflix Chris Shade, PhD: Chlorinated octanoic acid, like a generation of fluorinated people. So all the halogens produce terrible compounds. You have oil, and then you put light to it, and it burns right. So they want to make all this stuff that didn't burn, they take all the electron density away from it, and they do that by halogenating it. The first things were the chlorinated things, PCB, polychlorinated biphenyls. And those were to be lubricants like oil that would be in high temperature areas and not catch on fire. And they were like, okay, these things work great well, because they don't catch on fire, nothing can actually break them down. So you don't have any microbes that can break it down. You have an oil spill. The microbes will leak the damn thing eventually, you know, you've laid waste to a lot of stuff, but eventually it'll all be consumed. It's just organic matter, polychlorinated stuff, like nothing knows how to eat it. And so this stuff lasts forever, and then it gets in the system and it sticks on the hormone receptors, and it throws all that stuff out of whack. Agent Orange was in that world... Mercury Poisoning Impact | Intentional Health for Women Chris Shade, PhD: The unique thing about the amalgams is you inhale stuff that's evaporating off the surfaces, and that would go into the lungs, into the blood, and all over. There was corrosion products, kind of like rust coming off of the metal. And you'd swallow those, and they coat your GI tract, and they kind of lock it up. They change the microbes in it, and they block the liver GI connection. The liver actually, because it sees so much mercury in the GI, decides to stop dumping more into it, so it locks up that liver drainage. And that's why that, what we call a binder, the first product called IMD, Intestinal Metal Detox, were little grains of silica gel with metal chelating groups on them, these thiol groups on them, and you would eat it, and it would clear all this mercury off of the line of your GI that you've been swallowing all the time and open up that flow back in there and build a health that lasts. Detoxification and Longevity drchrisshade.com/how-to-detox-t… We think that detoxification is just when we're really sick, we need to get something out of us and get ourselves back up to functioning. But you want to get into all that longevity stuff, you want to do these high end therapies, you better take the trash out or you're going to throw and I know people, they've done all the stem cells and exosomes everything. Nothing works. You look at them. They're hugely toxic. You clean them up, and then all this stuff starts to work. 7/24/2023 - How to Detox The Right Way with Dr. Christopher Shade | DTH Podcast - Discovering True Health with Christy Prais: youtu.be/S72A6x8ZWmI?si… YouTube short: youtube.com/shorts/pK-B-dU… Brighteon Short: brighteon.com/8030b547-9ca8-…

If there is one toxin that does the most damage, it is endotoxin. Endotoxins are fragments of gram-negative bacteria that get into circulation. Not whole bacteria, just pieces. But your immune system does not care. It sees E. coli in the blood and sounds the alarm. Sepsis. Kill everything.Except there is nothing to kill. So it is like a ghost in your machine. And your immune system is chasing a ghost. The way you kill bacteria is with pro-oxidant chemistry. Bleach-like compounds. Peroxyl radicals. But when you flip that switch, you turn down your antioxidant system. And when antioxidant systems go down, detox and recycling shut down too. The problem is that endotoxin usually is not acute. It is chronic endotoxemia from weak barriers. Leaky gut. Periodontal infections. Silent inflammatory load. Heart disease. Depression. Vascular inflammation. Neuroinflammation. Different names. Same underlying inflammagen. And endotoxin does something even more dangerous. It shuts down sirtuins. Sirtuins are central to mitochondrial repair and regeneration. So endotoxin does not just inflame you. It blocks mitochondrial recovery. The genetics loads the gun. Endotoxin pulls the trigger. #TuesdayMotivation #

My journey in hormone health drchrisshade.com/good-and-bad-f… Zora Benhamou: How did you get into menopause and the hormone space? Chris Shade, PhD: I've been in functional, integrative, regenerative medicine since 2009. Once you get in, it's not like you just stay in this lane, like this is what I am. As a company, we address all kinds of things in functional medicine. I got kind of obsessed with hormones back in about 2013 2014 I just started learning about them. A friend of mine, Dr Mark Gordon, was big hormone guy, and he introduced me then to Lauren Bramley, who was a big hormone person, who was just starting to use all of our detox because it was helping her address hormone issues that she couldn't get right, because she needed to detoxify them. So I started getting immersed in this. You know, soon I was taking Thierry Hertoghe's courses at A4M, then I started trying to figure out delivery techniques for these hormones. And Mark had suggested try to figure out testosterone. And it is really hard, in the literature, nobody knew how to put it into a liposome or a nanoparticle and get this high absorption. I started working with DHA, testosterone, and I started pulling in other hormones, and I realized that we could put together, within a supplement space, a complete package for female bioidentical hormone replacement, build a health that lasts YouTube: youtu.be/EQwz3D3l-s0 Rumble: rumble.com/v79pxr4-my-jou… Bitchute: bitchute.com/video/TI4muZlB… Brighteon: brighteon.com/c867cc55-e739-… 05/12/2024 Good and Bad Formulations of Hormones. Detox, Hormones & Nervous System Reset | The Great Unlearn drchrisshade.com/detox-hormones… Eben Britton: Dr, shade, can you define chelation for me? Chris Shade, PhD: People use that term for just about everything. Oh, I'm gonna chelate the radiation. Sorry, you can't do that. That's a wave. And chelation is molecules. So a chelate, very technically, will be one molecule which can bind a metal in more than one place. EDTA is a quintessential chelator. And then there's different chelators for different metals. And so you have these sulfur based ones that are used in medicine, and that would be DMSA and DMPS. Then you have EDTA. This is oxygen and nitrogen based. And it's like mercury likes the sulfur ones, lead likes these nitrogen oxygen ones, arsenic and others fit in between two of those molecules will bind very strongly on to the metal, and they're going to make it in a form that can go out through excretion easier. An unlikely place taught me how to deliver a message. Disney World. I was an organic, biodynamic farmer. Really hardcore. I joke that I went out of business the year Whole Foods came around. Then someone asked, “Do you want to go to Epcot Center and teach sustainability for a World Bank program?” Me? Disney World? Last thing I would ever think to do! Fuck yes. They trained me with actors, public speaking coaches, and science educators. Four weeks of prep. Then I gave the same talk four times a day for six weeks on the floor of Epcot. Overalls. Red barn backdrop. A micro organic farm in the middle of Disney. That is where I learned this. You have to feel when people are with you and when they are not. If they are with you, you can go wherever the spirit takes it. If they are not, you stick to the script and conserve energy. Over time, you develop magnetism. If the message is good and you deliver it well, no one is on their phone. That training shaped everything I have done since @EpcotCentre @DisneyParks #OrganicEats

There is a razor’s edge in biology. You can age clean or age fast. I call it SIRTs versus SIPs. Sirtuins are the anti inflammatory, metabolically efficient longevity pathway. Stress Induced Premature Senescence (SIPS) is the inflammatory aging pathway. Toxins now even have a name. Gerontogens. They accelerate aging. Here is the cascade. Toxic damage leads to telomere shortening. Telomere shortening drives mitochondrial dysfunction. Mitochondrial dysfunction creates senescent “zombie” cells. These cells stop functioning but secrete inflammatory signals that recruit other cells into senescence. That is wrinkles. That is declining energy. That is accelerated aging. We ran a three month detox and mitochondrial support program and reversed biological age by an average of one year. Detox does not just remove junk. It flips the switches that determine how fast you age.
