@AshleyMcGinn_ @Ross_Lafferty Brilliant Ashley. Hope the family had an amazing night.

@Tim_Burgess Seen a wee band called @coldplay supporting Terris at @kingtuts in 2000. Not sure what happened to them tbf, but they were class that night.

@ManpreetPTFC_V5 Disgraceful stuff. I hope there is action taken by the club and the police. Straight up hate crimes by cosplaying fascists.

Was expecting this to happen when I found out Raith had our stand, group full of wee fannies doing Nazi salutes but flying Union jacks, brain dead isn’t the word
I speak for most Jags fans when I say can we have some clarity on the match process as we’ve had none

I’m sorry but a serious question needs to be asked of whoever at the club & SPFL allowed these mutants in to our section. How much did we actually make for the hassle? Why as a fan owned club weren’t we consulted on this matter? @PTFCSLO @PartickThistle @Jags_Foundation @spfl

Denmark manager Brian Riemer has said he is still in disbelief that his side were unable to qualify directly for the World Cup as qualifying group winners ahead of Scotland:
“I maintain I have no doubt at all we were the best team in our World Cup group.
“It was entirely undeserved that we finished in second place.
"Those who say we were crap are entitled to their opinion.
"But I deal with the facts, and when I look at the six games, we deserved to win the group.
"When I watch the games again and dive into the data and the numbers, they show that we dominated the games and we created the most chances.
"We were the best team."

@DrColinAtkinson Thanks very much, mate. Very nice to say. Hope your weekend was a good one (despite the Rangers).

Very pleased to share my latest article, which features in Sage Journals, Crime Media Culture: An International Journal, as part of the 2026 Special Issue: 50th Anniversary of Resistance Through Rituals.

I was fortunate to meet Mani on Sauchiehall Street one lunch break from work, and he was exactly like this. We exchanged a few words, more than he needed to. He was gregarious, generous, and giving of his time. A top human.
His star still shines.

Scott would have been 44 today. He couldn't make it, but the creative work he left the world sustains so many. Also, a very underrated guitar player!
Living in colour, always Scott @tinychanges

Be so good to everyone you love. It’s not a given. I’m so annoyed that it’s not. I didn’t live by that standard and it kills me. Please, hug your loved ones.

@DrColinAtkinson @TheSCCJR @UofGlasgow @UofGMedicine A VERY long time. Thank you for getting it to this stage.

A long time coming (came from my time at @TheSCCJR!), but an absolute pleasure to write with, and feature on the same page as, the wonderful Dr Clare McFeely @ClareUoG @UofGlasgow @UofGMedicine. Her data blew me away every time. Amazing stuff.

@GraemeFrew5 @scotlandscoeff1 Totally agree re. frame rate. Been saying this for ages, but few seem willing to listen.
English

I think VAR has a part to play but it should be to overturn on-field decisions that are obviously wrong. Marginal offside calls don't meet that criteria.
If nothing else at 60 frames per second a player could have travelled around 15cm between frames even if the tech can detect exactly when the ball was kicked.
English

I dislike VAR, would prefer it was removed.
But what chance has it got when "The Ref's View" is posting this 🤦♂️
This is a perfectly good VAR decision. The only debate is do we want VAR to intervene when it's so tight - if the on field decision is onside.
Currently the law says yes, offside is offside so VAR must intervene here. So until there's a law change to give a bigger margin of error in the attackers favour, this is the correct decision.

@gmhales I'm old enough to remember when David Blunkett's leadership was characterised by him telling Sir John Stevens "he needs to feel the heat he's under".
I'm going to follow this review with dismay as well as interest.

The new Police Leadership Commission, led by Lord Blunkett and Lord Herbert, launched today. The Commission will work to identify where improvements can be made to ensure a consistent standard of leadership in every force across the country: college.police.uk/article/new-po…
