@GraemeFrew5 @scotlandscoeff1 Totally agree re. frame rate. Been saying this for ages, but few seem willing to listen.

I think VAR has a part to play but it should be to overturn on-field decisions that are obviously wrong. Marginal offside calls don't meet that criteria. If nothing else at 60 frames per second a player could have travelled around 15cm between frames even if the tech can detect exactly when the ball was kicked.

I dislike VAR, would prefer it was removed. But what chance has it got when "The Ref's View" is posting this 🤦‍♂️ This is a perfectly good VAR decision. The only debate is do we want VAR to intervene when it's so tight - if the on field decision is onside. Currently the law says yes, offside is offside so VAR must intervene here. So until there's a law change to give a bigger margin of error in the attackers favour, this is the correct decision.
