Id really like to thank the Berke lab. I was DOA from my previous experiences when I arrived at UCSF and your kind spirits gave me the peace to move on. It was so painful to walk away from 33 years of building a life and career to start over but when you get called..

I couldn't understand at the time the path I was being called to, but I just knew to not stop until I found truth and the source and ever so astonishingly was given everything Id been in pain searching for.

anyone who read bell hooks was transformed by her words- liberated. Her words have saved my life time and time again. This is the impact one leaves behind when they pass- the impact they had on people and because of that, she will continue to echo and heal and love.

Woah I love to see w/ grad app season that trainees are prioritizing their humanity, prioritizing PIs who treat their people well, investing in communal training environments that pursue truth not performance factories that generate effects for ego. asking is this a space FOR me.
