Another great Icelandic bookish tradition is to gift books for Christmas & spend part of the day reading. So begins the #Jólabókaflóð ('Yule Book Flood'). It's such a thrill to be wrapping parcels of my own book this year, and hearing of them landing on doormats near and far.
