@NicoleRPrause I’ve screen captured those stats. I think it will appeal to some of my engineering clients with culturally-based MDPU. I can take the slower but effective path of helping them trace their shame, or maybe appeal to their intellect and let the data convince them.

Study finds freq of porn viewing is med/mod by moral conflict (not religious per se) rather than directly predicting porn problems. This is the only issue I can think of where "use level" is often unrelated to "problems"...which is a problem! tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Regulating desire is possible. My favorite way is to help the man expand his view of the situation. Is desire your only goal? What about goals like not hurting your partner, maintaining your relationship, and giving your partner pleasure? What are you doing to reach those goals?

Not everyone experiences desire the same way. Spontaneous desire shows up inside the person. Contextual desire depends on relational & environmental context. Responsive desire emerges when something feels good. See Nagoski's "Come As You Are" for this and the next point.
