I’ve been addressed in a lot of creative ways over the years via email, but this is by far my favorite. It captures my essence beautifully.

@BlackStudiesGuy From one COMM scholar to another, I’m so sorry. I had cancer last year. It’s terrible and scary and will take a lot out of you, but you will survive. Someone told me “the only way out is through” and I held very closely to that during treatment. You will get through.
