Couldn't agree more! Therapy, social work, and charity should be part of your vocation, volunteering, or philanthropy - not every day in your relationship. Let them grow up!

Boundaries will look and feel like selfishness. Saying no to convos that drain you, extra work that isn’t meaningful, relationship dynamics that trigger you…..all will look like you are putting your needs before anyone else’s. And you are. And that’s ok.

If they are still talking about their EX you may want to EXit! There is usually not enough room for their past with them and a new future with you.

Love and fear can’t dwell in the same place, at the same time! One will override the other in actions, deeds, and expressions. Eventually you must choose which one will reign in your life.

Vibes can be wrong! The initial “good vibes” felt when you meet someone can be based on more than the person. It can be the place ambiance, how you feel about yourself, mood, or your openness to exploration. It may have nothing to do with them. Good vibes are proven over time.

“You never miss the water until the well runs dry” should not only be a cautionary tale for people who can’t appreciate you until you are gone, but to make sure those who are allowed to drink from you deserve it. Maybe they should not of had the water in the first place.

Bad relationships are worse than no relationship! People think limited experience is bad, but, multiple relationships that don’t create growth and GOOD experiences stifle your relationship skills. This leaves people stuck, dragging bad skills from one relationship to the next.

STOP listening to people who don’t have what you want! If you want wealth you don’t listen to someone broke, if you want to pass a class you don’t listen to who failed it, and if you want a healthy, thriving relationship, you don’t take advice from someone who has not had one.
