@c_debenedectiMD I feel like competency based advancement is the ACGME goal. As PD, we can realign their rotations based on what the trainee needs or may have missed. Most trainees that I have worked with are internally motivated and together we work out a individualized schedule.

This needs to be 3 months minimum...I have yet to have a resident take only 6 weeks of parental leave, all took at least 3 months...and as someone who took 6 weeks with a baby in the NICU it is NOT enough

Advancement of the resident or extension of training program should be competency based.

What does the #RadEd community think of the new @ABR_Radiology proposal for resident vacation & family leave? Is it sufficiently family-friendly? Or does it levy a parenthood penalty? How was this policy informed - with any PD/trainee input? We have 30 days to comment! @theAPDR
