❗️ Critical Incident Declared at Nottingham University Hospitals ❗️ We have declared a Critical Incident as a result of an IT failure in our Pathology service. This affects the time it takes to process blood test results, and impacts hospital services and primary care. Patients with blood testing appointments at City and QMC are being asked not to attend. COVID testing has changed from today... If you don't have symptoms, but test positive on a lateral flow test, you will no longer need a PCR to confirm results. You will just need to self-isolate. If you have symptoms, you still need to isolate and book a PCR test.

A plea from this GP… If you have a new cough (even if it’s mild), please get a PCR test. We cannot rely on lateral flow tests to rule out covid as a cause of your symptoms. 🙏 #teamGP
