➡️Around half the population of England are seen every month in General Practice. ➡️90% of NHS consultations occur in General Practice for 7% of the NHS budget. ➡️More GPs are choosing to work reduced clinical sessions to manage workload and for patient safety.

❗️ Critical Incident Declared at Nottingham University Hospitals ❗️ We have declared a Critical Incident as a result of an IT failure in our Pathology service. This affects the time it takes to process blood test results, and impacts hospital services and primary care. Patients with blood testing appointments at City and QMC are being asked not to attend. Hear from Dr Mark Simmonds, Deputy Medical Director on what this critical incident means for you 👇 Updates will be posted on our website - 🔗 nuh.nhs.uk/latest-news/pa…

Very proud to launch our Annual Conference this morning @NottsLMC at the Crowne Plaza, Nottm. Such a great team and a lot of support available for practices. Workshops and networking very important.

First day back @NottsLMC after ten months on #maternityleave. Would compare the feeling to how it felt on your first day back at secondary school after a long, fabulous summer. A mixture of excitement and nerves. Let’s do this 💪🏻

Been great seeing so many people as part of the Nottinghamshire LMC @NottsLMC delegation to the #uklmc22 UK LMC Conference. So much passion for general practice and determination to do what is right for GPs, their practices and patients.

LMCs can be stronger together. Our LMC Support Network is a move to provide peer support/sharing of ideas and resources and it’s open to all LMCs to join. #UKLMC22 @BMA_GP

National Association of LMCs? Not against the idea for support but not to represent LMCs. Need to stand strong with @BMA_GP

As an LMC we provide a free service to prepare practices for an inspection from the CQC. We work with you once you have self-assessed your practice using our preparatory tool and provide an independent view. Call us on 0115 977 1341 or email liaison@nottslmc.co.uk for more.

No more Mr Nice Guy, meet Professor Angry Bird. While it may be the paper cut of unconscious gender bias, untitling still stings just the same. So I will be sending more email replies like this from now on.

COVID testing has changed from today... If you don't have symptoms, but test positive on a lateral flow test, you will no longer need a PCR to confirm results. You will just need to self-isolate. If you have symptoms, you still need to isolate and book a PCR test.

A plea from this GP… If you have a new cough (even if it’s mild), please get a PCR test. We cannot rely on lateral flow tests to rule out covid as a cause of your symptoms. 🙏 #teamGP

#covidvariant #COVID19 Please get boosted if you haven’t already, and support others to be vaccinated too. Encourage face mask wearing and continue to follow Hands, Face, Space. Keep testing and isolating for symptomatic individuals. Keep safe 🙏🏽

Very sensible @DrJenML highlighting pitfalls of "mandatory Advice & Guidance" stipulated by some #NHS trusts prior to referral Crude method to shift unfunded work from secondary to primary care & inevitably delay or block referrals for our patients @BMA_GP pulsetoday.co.uk/news/breaking-…

I was initially quite nervous to have the vaccine whilst pregnant, however staff at the vaccination centre were amazing. I know I've made the right decision in being vaccinated to help protect both me and my growing baby and keep us safe #VaccinesSaveLives
NHS England@NHSEngland

New data shows the overwhelming majority of pregnant women hospitalised with COVID-19 have not had a jab. Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent, @TeamCMidO, is urging expectant mums to get the COVID-19 vaccine to keep themselves and their babies safe. Read more. ➡️ england.nhs.uk/2021/07/chief-…

Undecided about having your Covid jab? We have clinicians at all our sites who will be happy to help answer any of your questions. If you’re 18+ pop down to one of our vaccination sites between 8am-8pm over the weekend and have a quick chat. #GrabAJab
