@Emma_Turner75 Ofsted & SATs together. Went through it at one of our schools a few years back. As CEO I oversaw the SATs and the brilliant head looked after the Ofsted, switching when we needed to. All went well but as @Emma_Turner75 says, ‘utterly mad’.

Heard of two schools who are having inspections this week, in primary, during SATs week. I think I just strained an eyeball I did such a giant eye roll. Anyone who has ever had to juggle the staffing & leadership SATs logistics in a primary school knows how utterly mad this is.

Balanced thoughts from Tom. Previous Ofsted work sampling of top, middle and lower books led to 3 way differentiation meaning 3 different worksheets as a means for teachers to show anyone monitoring that they differentiated! That is what differentiation often became.

@MrGoodwin23 @m_chiles Woah. I thing this language is way over the top here people. Scaffolding a task vs setting a different task could be splitting hairs. Mixed attainment groups might need varying content to practise what they need. Needs some perspective. teacherhead.com/2019/01/24/res…
