Floods and heavy rain can bring unpredictable water levels in many areas of Viet Nam, putting kid’s lives at risk.  Since 2018, more than 400,000 children have received survival swim instruction through our partnership with the Government of VietNam.

The UK will extend the sugar tax to high-sugar milkshakes and coffees and lower the threshold to 4.5g/100ml. Health taxes work. We need more policies like this and strong oversight to hold industry accountable to improve health globally. bbc.com/news/articles/…

Today, ACIP ended universal HepB dose given at birth. That means missed protection, wider inequities, and more preventable illness/death. This reflects bias, not evidence. The birth dose is safe and effective.

SF’s lawsuit over ultra-processed products is a pivotal public health moment. We should put health ahead of misleading marketing and NCD-linked products. This is a strong first step in holding the industry accountable. nytimes.com/2025/12/02/us/…

The @WHO's MPOWER measures are proven to reduce tobacco use, including requiring large, graphic warnings on cigarette packs. However, due to the tobacco industry’s interference, the U.S. is tied for last in the world for the size of its warning labels. It’s past time to implement strong, graphic warnings so Americans can clearly see the health harms of tobacco use.
Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids@TobaccoFreeKids

The United States is tied for last in the world in the size of its health warnings on cigarette packs, according to a new international report by the Canadian Cancer Society. Why? It’s because tobacco companies have fought for 16 years in court to block a Congressionally-mandated requirement for large, graphic warnings. It shows the tobacco companies can’t be taken seriously when they claim they want to reduce smoking. cancer.ca/en/about-us/me…

As evidence grows on the harms of UPFs, new associations continue to emerge. A new study links higher daily intake to greater risk of colorectal polyps in women under 50. We need evidence-based food policies to help cut NCD risk. washingtonpost.com/wellness/2025/…

UPFs are displacing fresh foods, worsening diet quality, and driving diet-related NCDs and death. We need coordinated policies, like front-of-pack labels, marketing protections, healthy school food, health taxes, to cut UPF production, marketing, and consumption.
