Ahead of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I was honored to receive King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the @Sept11Memorial to honor the lives lost and the courage of those who risked their lives to save others.

City leaders aren't waiting to take bold action. At #CityLabMadrid, mayors, policymakers and creatives from around the world came together to share what's working and deliver results for their residents.

I was honored to receive @TheRoyalFamily King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the @Sept11Memorial today. We met with family members and first responders and laid a wreath in remembrance of those who gave their lives to save others. We will never forget.

Road traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for young people, yet they remain overlooked. We can change that. That’s why @bloombergdotorg is committing $350 million to make streets safer and support cycling infrastructure worldwide.

Above all else, mayors are problem solvers. We’re seeing that firsthand at #CityLabMadrid, where local leaders are bringing forward creative ideas to tackle today’s biggest challenges, and building a global network to share insights and advance solutions that improve the lives of their residents.

Mayors have often been early leaders on global challenges – even as national & international responses lagged. Strong partnerships at all levels of government are essential for ensuring that great ideas in cities can take hold across countries — and around the world. Spanish Prime Minister  @sanchezcastejon joined us at #CityLabMadrid this year to talk about state-level leadership to drive urban innovation.

The @BancoDeEspana plays a vital role not just for Spain's economy but also for the EU's economic resilience — a role that is especially critical today in the face of so much geopolitical volatility. I was glad to meet with Governor @joseluisescriva today to talk about the importance of data tools in that work, and how @Bloomberg can continue to be a valuable resource as they navigate the current landscape.

We still have a long way to go before every child has access to a high-quality education. @deborahkennyhva is one of the country’s most influential educators - and her new book, The Well-Educated Child, will inspire more schools like @HVAHarlem. I was glad to celebrate the book with Deborah and @johnlegend last night.

🌎 Earth Day reminder: Climate leadership is built from the ground up. From city halls to neighborhood blocks, climate action is delivering immediate benefits: cleaner air, healthier communities, and stronger economies.

.@HUObrist is one of the most creative and driven people I've met. As Artistic Director of @serpentineUK, he's brought great and daring art to new audiences. We were glad to host him at @BloombergDotOrg to celebrate his new book about what inspires him, "Life in Progress."

If you didn’t see @jellicleballnyc during its successful run at PAC NYC, you can now catch it on Broadway. I had a great time celebrating the premiere with @OfficialALW and want to congratulate the cast and crew for putting on an excellent show.

Congratulations to @JohnsHopkinsSPH on being recognized as the nation's best school of public health for the 32nd year. Highly trained experts, researchers, and practitioners are essential if we want to strengthen trust in public health and continue to advance life-saving efforts.

Today is #WorldHealthDay, and the work that public health leaders do is more important than ever. I'm glad to support @WHO's efforts to defend data, build trust, and promote evidence-based solutions.

While it was challenging to plan a menu good enough to host a world-renowned chef, we had a great time celebrating Ruthie Rogers and her new book “Table 4 at The River Cafe: Conversations about Food and Life.” I’m honored to be included in the book and look forward to reading the other conversations.
