@leedapea @TyoToys @ProfilingEvil We weren’t really sure at the time. It was just an odd observation that Mike and I both found out of place. I believe now that the hunch was correct after viewing the foliage in the hand of the masked subject on the newly released video.

@DrLauraPettler Well said!!! Experts develop, test, and present the most logical scenarios. Unfortunately the most logical answers are not always represented in scholarly only renditions. Letting the audience/ jurors know the correct methodology, limitations, and scope helps them decide!!!

Crystal Mangum, the woman who falsely accused three Duke men’s lacrosse players of rape in 2006, admitted she lied about the allegations and asked for David Evans, Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann’s forgiveness. About 18 years too late in my opinion with a tornado of damage that was caused by this lie to three innocent student athletes, a coach who lost his job and the lacrosse team who had their season canceled. Even though the then Attorney General in 2008, who later became a two term governor, Cooper declared that they were innocent, it affected their education, and they will be haunted by this for the rest of their lives. To me, it’s nice to get the admission and apology, but I am not sure I would be able to forgive. Accusing people of racist crimes when they did not happen like Jussie Smollett did in Chicago is a crime in itself and must be severely punished. Lives end up being wrecked for nothing they have done. Families suffer unfairly. The problem is a lie travels halfway around the world before the truth can lace up its shoes. I think the people who encourage this young woman at the time to broadcast these lies and go public with them should also be held to account. My two cents. EB
