Got a poster accepted at a medical conference. Great. Go to book it - even with the discount for presenting, the cost is £520 for 1 day or £800+ for the full 3 days. Can any junior doctors actually afford this? That's my entire monthly rent and bills. @RCEMLearning

@Thornton_health I’m afraid this attitude from a former NHS CEO is unacceptable. It’s the worker comment. You really don’t appear to understand how important the team is in healthcare. I am much more aligned with your ‘workers’ than I ever will be to your attitudes.

Am I alone in thinking it is wrong for consultants to strike? Nurses, paramedics, junior doctors, yes, they are just ‘workers’ but consultants are senior leaders, just like senior managers. They demean themselves by striking.
