The Dead rolled into Lakeland, Florida, on this day in 1980 for a one-off show during their mini-tour through the Sunshine State and Georgia. Returning to the Lakeland Civic Center after a three-year hiatus, the band delivered the first electric renditions of 'Deep Elem Blues' and 'To Lay Me Down' since the early 1970s.
