Barbara stopped being Cass's adoptive mother in Batgirl Vol. 1 #54, and "War Games" only helped steer that further. Adding the New 52 de-aging Babs.
It's pretty obvious DC doesn't want her as a mentor/mother figure anymore to anyone.

Wow this entire book is garbage and makes absolutely no sense, especially in comparison to what came before it. Glad these characters have moved on thanks to the efforts of actual good writers and rational fans acknowledge it as an awful story
