I don’t know if my brain is 7.5 years younger…but I’m really happy I did this experiment, and I would recommend everyone this habit. Magnesium is so affordable, it makes no sense to not try. Honestly, you would feel the difference the first night immediately and decide.

Faster reaction time. This is real. People actually tell me I speak faster, probably reflecting how fast I think. My memory problem is gone, I think this is directly tied to reaction time. When you remember fast, you react fast.

The deeper point is who responded. These were young, healthy adults, not the population usually targeted by brain-supplement marketing. Cognitive movement in healthy people within six weeks is the strongest signal in the data. These domains decline first with age.

In a six week study, healthy adults taking 2 grams of magnesium daily showed a 7.5-year reduction in estimated cognitive brain age. The score combined working memory, episodic memory, and reaction time. Subjective sleep also improved.
