What is the fastest way of scanning an IP range, in order to determine if a machine there is listening to any port and which one? I don't need to know all the ports that the machine is listening to - only one of them. nmap? masscan? Something else?

@tehjh I did a long (200km) bike ride the other day and my Fitbit clocked 40,000 steps and didn't seem to think that was too much, or that my 30km/h pace was weird

@vivekramac You lock your bike to a post to keep it safe. Someone comes and puts another lock on it that only they have the key to. They won't take the lock off so you can use your bike unless you pay them. Cutting the lock off is nearly impossible.
