No one wants to draft an All-Pro with an ADP of 202.8?

@ffdataroma CORRECT. Drives me crazy when people talk like coaches make decisions independent of their personnel. It’s all about players.

@FantasyKash These are prob the same ppl who saw the Derrick Henry challenge and seriously thought “in 100 tries I could probably trip him up once.” Lolll It’s just blatant disrespect of the physical toll of the game. I was laughed at for the “he has to tackle JT” comment. ITS TRUE.

@FantasyKash I feel like I’m in an alternate universe. No player in the history of the sport has played both ways. It’s not gonna be the 180-pounder who already got hurt barely doing it. People can’t comprehend how hard it is to play full time NFL snaps on 1 side. CFB is different.

This is my thought as well. I know a lot of people want Travis to play offense too. The Jags have no reason to tell us now the 2-way guy they traded up for won’t play a lot there But barring WR injury, I don’t see how many snaps the FT CB can get with what that room looks like

Arizona Cardinals o/u win total is 4.5 juiced to the under. I'm *really* struggling to see the bull case for Jeremiyah Love. He needs to fall like 10 picks for me to consider taking him

More Mike: - BA (contd.): Not sure he’s healthy rn. WSH would know better than SF. - Harbs/Schoen: Harbs knew MIA was long rebuild. He liked NYG roster. Schoen relinquished power to get Harbs. Should be together for foreseeable future - Kyler will start. Leans Tua, Watson, Kirk

Garafolo/Tom: - AJ def traded. Likely NE but not gtd. May drag to July. LAR reengaging wouldn’t surprise. - Mannion hire driven by FO - BA: Told to show up for rehab or they would take away gtds. Didn’t cuz of pride. May be put on left squad list podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the…

@SparkScouting This is not at all how I view it. BBall team to me refers to having receivers of different sizes, quickness levels, physicality, playing “above the rim” skills, etc. Not 1-5 but just having a tall guy, a quick smaller guy, a tough blocker, a speed guy etc.

This is a wonderful example of how NFL WR rooms should be built. There’s specific roles, but you can also have players fit multiple roles as well (for example, KC Concepcion can fit both the “point guard” and “shooting guard” role. But the best offenses have 1 guy for each role, even if they aren’t a full time guy. #Browns #NFL
Mike Rittelmann@MRittCGS

The Modern Wide Receiver Room The best football organizations and college programs today are building their wide receiver rooms like a basketball starting five Every receiver has a specific role, body type, skill set, and matchup value that complements the others within the offense. It is no longer about just having talent at wide receiver. It is about building a complete room where every player brings something different to stress a defense 🏀 Slot receivers are like point guards controlling tempo, spacing, timing, option routes, and underneath production while helping quarterbacks identify leverage and coverage 🏀 Pure separators are like shooting guards winning isolated matchups with elite route running, releases, stem manipulation, and suddenness in and out of breaks 🏀 Versatile chess pieces are like small forwards aligning all over the formation creating matchup problems, motion flexibility, and personnel disguise opportunities for offensive coordinators 🏀 Big body physical receivers are like power forwards using size, strength, blocking ability, catch radius, and contested catch ability to dominate in tight spaces and red zone situations 🏀 True X receivers are like centers dictating coverage structure and forcing defenses to adjust game plans around them because of their ability to win vertically and beat press coverage consistently Modern offenses are built around spacing, leverage, versatility, and matchup creation. The best WR rooms stress defenses horizontally and vertically while creating explosive plays, easier throwing windows, and coverage conflicts The best organizations and programs look for receivers with: ✅ Skill set diversity ✅ Positional versatility ✅ Route intelligence ✅ YAC ability ✅ Blocking effort ✅ Coverage manipulation ✅ Formation flexibility ✅ Explosive play ability ✅ Offensive chemistry

@MattWaldman Scouting is about projecting traits that translate to the next level. It is NOT about evaluating college performance. Those 2 intersect often, but people underrate how different the college game is from pro.

Scouting is a projection craft. When you’re assessing route running of a collegian, you’re seeking physical, technical, and conceptual traits and skills that will translate to the next level. A thread of some examples…

Luther Burden 2025 #ReceptionPerception Profile! Some highlights: - 71.1% success rate vs. man coverage - 80.4% success rate vs. zone - Strong success rates and usage in the intermediate area - High-end results as a tackle-breaker in space Burden’s rookie year film showed promise and real improvements from areas where he needed to get better as a prospect. He did it while not being a slot-first player, as well. Still some details to iron out on the boundary but he is an obviously ascending young WR with tons of strengths.
