@DragapultSim Great post! I wanted to add: Diggersby 1S is very close, so a small ATK weight (122.09) does help there. A high 112.01 DEF helps vs. Mud Shot. A 2/13/1 Zweilous gets best of both worlds. Guzzlord (123.52 ATK) and S-Feraligatr (125.41 ATK) are near the Altaria threshold. 1/2

@DragapultSim I assume R1 for breakpts and variable small ATK weights for bulkpts. I suppose a max DEF enemy would require an even higher breakpt but they'd lose HP for it so I leave R1 as an acceptable baseline. ! = flips MU in at least one shield situation !!! = multiple shield situations

If you care about the zweilous slayer, max defense (0/15/0) slays 566. A more balanced defense spread (0/15/6) slays 285. They both slay both default and rank 1.

@beforedawnfan Is this assuming default IVs, or are there some kinda odds determining wether it's a good attack stat for X matchup ?

@DragapultSim My process involves measuring out significant breakpoints, then weighing DEF and HP and looking at its ranges to find an optimal total IV spread. Here's an example I did recently of Gastrodon. (This is before Mud Slap nerf so the breakpoints will need to be re-assessed.)

@beforedawnfan Wow I see I'm mainly focused on damage calcs so I dont always have the matchup at hand, though I can always replicate it manually, but apart from that the rest is good

@DragapultSim It's definitely tedious and I go fully in-depth. (Alternative movesets, uneven shields, variable enemy IVs) Right now my main projects are GL/UL Corviknight (with and without Air Cutter and/or Iron Head) and Aegislash. The DMs are not open, which is why I commented publicly.

The attack stats you'll be looking for going from top to bottom are: - 113.22 - 112.66 - 111.08 - 110.35

@beforedawnfan That honestly feels impressive if your only source is pvpoke considering how tedious it is to check breakpoint odds and stuff 😓 I'm not against running calcs if you need, it literally takes me seconds, just hmu when you need something; my dms are open

@DragapultSim Can I collaborate you with IV research? I am a GBL streamer passionate about IV optimization. I have many documents full of IV calculations and have written my fair share of breakdown guides. The math is tedious work, so having a partner to run math with would be appreciated.

@beforedawnfan I did notice those, though it doesn't allow to flip medi, and it's already embarassing that the 2 others wants you to have a breakpoint considering you got mud slap trailblaze 😅

@DragapultSim Chiming in to say that I did some cursory research to say Oinkogne should want to have sufficient Defense stats to soften Fast Attack damage from Medicham, Morpeko, and Tinkaton to flip those matchups. I don't like Oinkologne, but dabbled in it for Catch Cup.

Spawning in rq to say that no amounts of break or bulkpoint can save either oinkologne forms from irrelevancy, in neither OGL not NAIC, so if any of you had hope for it well I'm sorry !

Did you know this? 👀 Shadow Forretress with Bug Bite can flip multiple matchups, just by investing into its attack. The breakpoints stack quickly, and the payoff spreads across the meta. How much bulk are you willing to give up? Data (and more info) via @DragapultSim!!!
