Supergrok Reality Check: My Tests Show How Fast the Budget Disappears Right after activating my Supergrok account, I tested the main features and calculated how heavily they drain the quota. The results are sobering: • 30 seconds of video at the lowest resolution = 3 % of the bar → 7 × 10-second clips = only 7 % → 10 seconds at lowest resolution ≈ 1 % Without using Grok chat or Agent Mode, you can slowly accumulate some material. Talking to Grok remains strictly forbidden. • 10 minutes of Voice Chat (tested with Mika) = 3 % → 1 hour of Voice Chat = 18 % → The entire Supergrok budget is used up after just over 5 hours of Voice. This assumes the bar calculates linearly – which would be fair. However, it’s completely non-transparent for users how it actually works. xAI can treat different users, countries, or modes differently at any time. We have no tool to check this. Conclusion for my use case as a video content creator: I can ask text questions just as well with regular X Premium. Voice Chat, Companions, storytelling, therapist mode and similar features are simply in Grok-App no longer realistically affordable for normal users. Anyone willing to spend €300 a month to chat with a fox or read bedtime stories to their kids can do so. For everyone else, these heavily advertised features are no longer practically usable in a Supergrok subscription. And now they’re adding new voices in Grok 4.5?
