A year after his 4-6A Newcomer of the Year honor, sophomore Camden Dean has been named 1st Team All-District outfielder! Playing CF, Cam hit over .400 in district play, with 3 doubles, 4 triples, a 💣, and drew 11 walks. He also saw time on the mound, picking up the W vs. Eaton to start our 9 game win-streak and march to the playoffs. Cam is the #1 OF in the 2028 class according to @PrepBaseball_TX, 11th player overall in the state, and is nationally ranked by both PBR and @PerfectGameUSA. Congratulations, Camden, on your back-to-back season honors. The best is yet to come! @cd33lefty

Sophomore Matthew Heredia was named District 4-6A Newcomer of the Year! Starting at SS and batting 3-hole as a 10th grader for the Dragons, Matthew hit .360 in district play with 4 doubles, 3 triples, 10 RBI and provided strong defense in the field. He also threw some relief innings on the mound in high-leverage spots. Congratulations, Matthew, on your All-District honor. Excited for your junior year! @MatthewHeredi16

For the second straight season, Cooper Newby was selected 2nd Team All-District catcher. A switch-hitting junior, Cooper once again carried the bulk of our innings behind the plate and led the district with 10-of-24 caught stealing. He is the highest ranked #uncommitted catcher in the 2027 Texas class according to @PrepBaseball_TX. Congratulations, Cooper! We can't wait for your senior year! @CooperNewby44

AJ on fire!

Senior Shawn Arterburn was selected 2nd team All-District outfielder by the 4-6A coaches. A three year contributor on varsity, Shawn brought leadership both on and off the field this season. A fixture at the top of the lineup, Shawn hit nearly .300 in district play and manned both corner outfield spots for the Dragons. Congratulations, Shawn! @ShawnArterburn

Another member of our 2028 class, AJ Bonnette was selected 2nd team All-District this past season. A two-way talent who also hit and played 1B, AJ was strong on the mound, where he posted a 3.83 district ERA and threw against L.D. Bell and Keller Central during our 9 game winning streak. His best performance was in game 1 of the playoffs vs Boswell, hurling an 8-inning CGSO, with 0 walks and 15 K's. 👀 AJ is ranked as the #3 LHP in his class in Texas by @PrepBaseball_TX and #6 by @Texas_PG. Senior Gavin Strange was selected as a 2nd team All-District outfielder in 4-6A. In 16 district games, he batted over .300 with 3 doubles and a 💣to provide a spark at the top of the Dragon lineup, while contributing defensively at all 3 outfield positions. A two-sport standout, Gavin is one of the nation's top kickers and is committed to play for @DukeFOOTBALL beginning this fall. Over the coming days we will recognize individual accomplishments from our 2026 season, including 7 Dragons who were selected for 4-6A All-District honors in what many believe is the most competitive district in Texas high school baseball. Let's start with Dane Thornton @GameDane_ who was chosen 2nd Team All-District infielder. Solid both offensively and defensively all year and a big part of our push to the playoffs, Dane's 14 walks were second in the district and he was the only infielder to not commit a district error. Dane is the 8th ranked SS and 24th overall player in the 2028 class in the state of Texas, and 250th nationally, according to @Texas_PG. Congratulations, Dane!
