My Telegram life in a nutshell. This isn't the count of total unread messages, but unique chats with people since May. I wasn't even able to reply to either Xmas or New Year wishes. What to do with this? Why are there so many people in the world?! Anxiety intensifies. HALP! 🙈

@TaikuDee Perhaps because you know there's gonna be an end to the conversation, since it's not really a chat but more of a thread/discussion?

Also, for some reason, I feel way more safe in public spaces, like on socials, than in private conversations 👀

@TaikuDee Yeah, I also enjoyed chatting with them, hence why it was so difficult... Especially the ones that felt hurt and neglected, even though I genuinely liked them :( But yeah, exactly, taking time and responding to everyone usually causes even more interaction in those cases...

Thank you for sharing :3 Don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy chatting with people, but I'd need a day to be 48 hours long at least. I'm not a fan of day-to-day smalltalk chats unless my dearest ones. But I struggle to balance. If I suddenly replied to 20 people from this list I would be stuck on Telegram for the rest of the day 🙄

@TaikuDee I now only have my mate, one best friend, a handful of good friends, and a handful of people I occasionally write with. All of them are aware and accepting of me not always being able to answer, and that gives a lot of peace of mind.
