@nicksjj It's been suggested Y11 significantly reduced their offer. During the exclusivity, the Union apparently won an arbitration (over owning Cardiff and overreach). I'm assuming they feel they now don't have to take an offer they don't think is anywhere close to their valuation

The million dollar questions are why, and why did it take them a whole, costly bidding process to work this one out. Depending on what happened with the bids etc, if Y11 believes that the process was never serious and that they have been misled, they could have a case for costs

@SophieP25397 One poll, others have PC ahead. I’d also remember the Caerphilly poll had Reform 4 ahead, but went a 14 point swing to PC. Polymarket has PC heavy favourites

#Reform expected to be the biggest party in #Wales on 8th May. Makes you wonder why English Nationalism and #Farage are massively popular there doesn't it?

How much in corporate advisory fees - and executive time - did the WRU spend on an aborted Y11 deal when keeping hold of Cardiff longer term (regardless of a legal challenge from the Scarlets, seemingly now won by the union) should have been the position last spring?

If Y11 are serious about the Ospreys in Swansea - and PRA 25 even if signed does give the WRU a break option in 2028 - then let's see if they commit to providing around half the cost of upgrading St Helen's. If that is be ready for next season, then work has to start shortly.

@sionbarry I seen comments from Rob yesterday stating that now that PRA2025 will be signed O’s may be able to go further with development, I assume this means as per original planning application hospitality etc

@sionbarry I've read the arbitration revolved around the Union stepping in to own Cardiff (argued overreach), so if they Union have won that, then they must feel emboldened to hold on to them until they feel the time is best to sell?

@sionbarry Potentially, yes, but I would have thought that much less likely now if both are signed up to PRA 25. Can’t write anything off though.

The WRU has created complete chaos, a lot of which could have been avoided if they had been upfront and transparent. So the most important question of all, why should anyone trust them now, especially with the future of the sport in Wales?

This statement tells us absolutely nothing of value beyond that the deal isn’t going ahead. The lack of transparency continues to be of concern, especially around why this was the preferred bid? Was proper due diligence conducted ahead of the exclusivity period?

Wouldn’t be surprised if the Y11 deal for @Cardiffrugby unravels. Rugby costs paid for yes, but £3m upfront, £2m to increase capacity at a ground owned by Cardiff Athletic Club, £6m debt servicing, and a £1m annual licence fee . And yes, if WRU ambitious commercial....

Correcting Misinformation About the Welsh Language
People who are concerned about current levels of immigration under the status quo of Westminster rule need to understand that Reform’s plan for Wales is to give away control over this issue to London Plaid Cymru are the only party who want Wales to take control over this issue
Dan Thomas@DanWalesReform

If you’re concerned about immigration numbers, the establishment parties want you to shut up and go away. Reform wants to represent you. A clear choice on May 7.

Why would the ospreys and scarlets sign the prb which is supposed to run until 2030 if wru still determined to cut a team by end of 26/27 season 🤔 BBC News - Cardiff remain in WRU control as takeover deal with Ospreys owners collapses - BBC Sport bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-un…

Wales suffered through 14 years of tory austerity. Wales has never voted tory in over 100 years Why now would they vote for the turquoise tories because reform is full of them. Why would you want our public services to suffer even more? Make it make sense

It’s blatantly obvious that the WRU want to get to three regions but don’t know how to. Even if they somehow manage it, they’ve then got the problem of finding a replacement in the URC. It’s a shambles. I’m at the stage now where I’d be more surprised if we did cut to 3.

@ospreylian3 @AsaFoodAndWine The WRU have said they are contractually committed to 4 in the URC until 2028, unless the URC agree to another team replacing them before that.
