The last *console* releases that people know of were released for the PSP, a console released over two decades ago. Many people likely aren't even aware of pop'n's PC release, which is not only Japanese-only, but requires a monthly subscription to even properly play.

@snailianz I think part of it as well is that people who like the game might not be following all the news & info related to it. Even with the recent U.S. expansion of the arcade game, pop'n music is still a very niche series over here, and a lot of the series' info is still Japanese only.
