@SamRainer @BarackObama it seems to me from your replies you should consult actual data vs your anecdotal experience. Modern engines are built for this. Prolonged idling leads to incomplete combustion, fuel dilution in oil, carbon buildup, and uneven heating. Not just arguably worse, worse.

@Dralaverse @BarackObama Restarting an engine at every red light is far worse. Not only that, it's a safety issue. I've stalled in a busy intersection because of the auto stop feature. Code P08EF ("Engine Resart Performance") in my vehicle. Very dangerous.
