The run that Alex Conover generated today was a run that OSU HAD to have. Dude got down 2 strikes, and, like he always does, he got into his foxhole and started fighting. He got a basehit, stole 2nd, then scored on the Aidan Meola 2-out RBI base hit. In some somewhat hidden ways, Conover is the difference maker in this offense. And what I mean by that is, when Kollin & Brueggy, and whoever else hit bombs, this offense is going to score. The question I think ALL OSU fans have is, what is this offense going to look like on a 40-degree day with the wind blowing in? Well, on those days, as in TODAY, Conover's ability to get on, get over, and get in was maybe THE difference in the game. I know OSU won by 2 runs, and he only scored once, but to move it from a 1-run to 2 run lead changes the entire dynamics of everything. Conover is hitting .308, which is good, but his on-base percentage is .449, and his SLUG is .513. And, he's scored 14 runs in 13 games...AND, as good as he's done offensively, there's way more in HIS tank to go too. #gopokes #okstate

Super proud of this kid. First AB and first varsity hit as a senior who has worked selflessly for 4 years. Call his name, prepared and confident.
