Lately, I’ve been noticing a clear pattern in my trading one that’s forcing me to rethink my approach to risk to reward. There have been multiple instances where price reaches a solid 1:5R, yet I hold the position in pursuit of a 1:7R or even 1:10R target, only to watch the market reverse back to entry. While the intention is to maximize returns, the outcome has often been missed profits. At the end of the day, the goal is consistent profitability. Moving forward, I’ll be adjusting my strategy by targeting more realistic risk to reward ratios likely in the 1:2R to 1:3R range. This allows me to secure profits more efficiently, reduce exposure to reversals, and maintain a more consistent equity curve. Execution over perfection.

@Trader_Saa I agree with you half way I believe it will just take longer in comparison to the person that do all said above the brain wants to LEARN so if you constantly keep showing it something even if it’s just for watch sake repeatedly it will start picking up things and patterns

Screen time doesn't equal skill acquisition. Are you journaling every trade? Are you ruthlessly analyzing your psychological errors Or are you just staring at the chart, hoping for a different result? The work happens away from the screen, not on it.

There will be a level in someone’s trading journey, you yourself will know that what’s wrong with you isn’t strategy It’s psychology And there’s no amount of strategy knowledge that can help you in this stage That’s why I do always say PSYCHOLOGY first no matter what! Psychology really matters a lot Know this and know peace.

@rugal_fx then I study and find a way to frame RR around it also but the first IDEA OF BEING TERRIFIED OF LOSSES HAS NOT LEFT ME AND I DONT THINK IT WILL ever THATS why I MANAGE RISK the fear is VALID but it should never CONTROL YOU I JUST EMBRACED IT 😅and of course study my eyes out 😂

@rugal_fx I’ll use my experience I was terrified of the idea of even lossing I still have it do but I don’t let it keep me from executing when my edge in price most time it’s attached to my SIZE so I reduce that first and my mind become calm then I was terrified again over reducing it 😂
