@Asher_Wolf @ACUmedia I am concerned your nursing students don't feel safe attending face to face learning. I urge you to follow the lead of @latrobe & postpone until after stage 4. This will protect your talented staff & students from risk of falling ill or dying from coronavirus.

@DrawnToCities I hope it does, too! In the meantime, support those that do! I know that's where I will be buying my baby's clothes.

I agree! They’re out there but they shouldn’t be so hard to find and I wish more Australian brands would lead on this issue.

@melly_singer's article reflects my frustration finding non-gendered kids clothes. My 1-year old is confused for a boy when wearing a dinosaur print; Seed has prints with bunnies for girls but lions for boys. Is this fair? My girl roars like a lion so nonna buys the "boys" print!

@QAGreenways @UrbanistOrg I'll happily show you around whenever travel here is allowed. It is interesting how the vision for transforming melb's laneways has occurred over my lifetime - will be interesting how they evolve due to the impact of the pandamic.

@DrawnToCities @UrbanistOrg Sarah! It has been a long time. I definitely have plans to tour laneways in Melbourne sometime after this pandemic thing blows over. Curious how the Melbourne experience might apply to the Seattle context where alleys are mostly trash storage and garage access.

Yes look to exemplars elsewhere. A way to get out of the loop, to avoid the mindless repeat of some of our more problematic, current local typologies. Let’s expand the reportoire.

@AlanKohler Great selection Alfie. Baby Silvia enjoys watching your grandad on the news - very serious focus... Your book recommendations are a real treat. Silvia has a new book about counting that might help her soon understand the financial news. Enjoy catching up with your family.

"when thousands of children & teachers are reinventing school on screens, places like Swan School are experimenting with the polar opposite: bringing school to nature." An idea for Victorian schools to offer outdoor learning when / if safe @JamesMerlinoMP seattletimes.com/education-lab/…

@HopeyTwoShoes @Asher_Wolf @ACUmedia @latrobe Incredibly stressful. You are all so caring about your patients, peers&teachers in asking for classes to be postponed or offered online until safer. Everyone wants to return to "normal" as soon as we can but as the Premier says we can't think this is over because we want it to be

@HopeyTwoShoes @MaxRock222 @theage Keep safe. Fingers crossed ACU postpones the face to face classes a few weeks, reduces class sizes so you can socially distance & returns to offering online classes where there's no need for face to face learning just as Latrobe Uni has taken the lead on. You're all so dedicated.

Nursing students are fighting to suspend some face-to-face classes, saying they fear being exposed to coronavirus infection and feel pressured to attend campus ow.ly/2h2T30r3ztO

@Mustafa_87BC @theage They are just trying to protect their patients they are caring for while on placement by asking ACU to postpone face to face classes until the end of level 4 restrictions. Latrobe uni has done this - ACU can do it to as it will save these students patients lives.

@MaxRock222 @theage If you want future nurses, student nurses need to be protected. These students are trying to protect patients they are caring for while on placement simply asking for face to face classes to be postponed until LVL 4 restrictions end. a few weeks away just as Latrobe uni has done.

@MarilynShephe15 @theage Might be good to re-read the article. They are treating their patients on placement. They are asking for face to face classes to be postponed until after level 4 restrictions so they can protect their patients. Just like Latrobe uni has done.

@AltPropKing @theage How do? They are just asking for face to face classes to be postponed until after LVL 4 like Latrobe uni has so that they protect the patients they are currently caring for on placement. Isn't that caring for their patients? Many classes can resume online for now.

@28061914mary @theage Not true at all. There's also risk these students will pass it on to their patients and coworkers while undertaking placements in hospital or to their households. Many live with parents, grandparents.

@Duregine @theage They care deeply for their patients. That's why they are asking for online classes to be postponed until after stage 4 so that they don't risk getting coronavirus and passing it on to their patients. The students are doing the right thing by the patients.
