@AishaYesufu Peter Obi is the one afraid of primary, I wonder why he left the ADC without any reason and you too, why did you want to eat where you didn't sow? U joined the party less than a month ago and you are dragging position with someone that has been financing the party since.

WHO IS AFRAID OF PRIMARIES? Election is not won by social media propaganda nor by orchestrated smear campaign. Election is won by engaging electorate one wishes to serve respectfully and with empathy and compassion. My dear FCT Residents, especially those who are registered members of our great party Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) let’s remain focused first, on the number one priority of promoting our great party and secondly on choosing candidates that will best represent us. The time of voting or making choices out of fear is gone. This time we will make our choices out of courage and belief in the mantra: POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE! To my teeming supporters across the FCT do not be deterred, continue your ground work across the 62 wards. We are ready to meet them on the primaries ground! Let me repeat, WHO IS AFRAID OF PRIMARIES? #AishaForSenate #AishaForBetterFCT

@Tochukwu_UO @U_Rochas Team? RMK was a mole of APC to destabilise ADC & he got it done through the help of desperate and greedy Obì. RMK is only playing to the gallery of Tinubu, hes only working for his ambition in 2031. Watch how Tinubu wil win Kano State and you will understand that it's all a game

Peter Obi served as Deputy Director-General (South) in former President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 presidential campaign structure. Back then, he went around telling Nigerians that four years was too short for any government to deliver maximum performance. Today, the same Peter Obi is telling Nigerians that four years is enough for him to transform a highly complex country like Nigeria. The contradiction is obvious. Nigerians should also remember the allegations and controversies that emerged after the 2015 election regarding campaign funds meant for the South-East operation under his supervision funds that were allegedly never properly accounted for. Whether his supporters like it or not, questions of consistency and accountability will always follow anyone seeking public office. You cannot preach one standard yesterday and another standard today while expecting people to simply forget the past. 👇 thenationonlineng.net/obi-canvasses-…

@Frbrazil1 @Lemiija @PeterObi @atiku Does he do any charity before he decided to run for the president? Then why now that he's vying for the position? This guy is not sincere and very desperate that he can go to any length just to achieve it. I say it again that Obì is too desperate for power

Obi is not desperate to be Nigeria president, in fact he was begged in 2022 by Nigerian youths to offer himself for them to run through him. Obi isn't desperate for power. He finished as governor and has opportunity to go to senate like other governors do but he didn't. He rather continued his charity work. I can assure you that Obi will not contest any election beyond 2027. Man has conquered greed and he is liquid enough to leave anywhere in the world and leave you and your Nigeria

@Frbrazil1 @Lemiija @PeterObi @atiku Obì has more to lose in 2027 dan Atiku, Obi has a very big chance of becoming president if he supports Atiku but if he fail again in 2027, dat ends his presidential ambition forever & also south east has lost its chance to rule Nigeria. Another southern turn will still be yoruba.

To show how desperate and self-centered PO is: when he joined ADC, he gathered all the political heavyweights in the South East and branded it the Enugu Declaration. But when he decided to ditch ADC at the last minute, he didn’t consult any of those same leaders he had earlier wooed into the party. For him, it’s all about personal ambition, morning, afternoon, and night.

@U_Rochas If we’re being real, Atiku actually has more to lose in 2027. He’s been running for decades, another loss wil crumble his long-term political relevance. Obi is stil building a relatively newer national structure and base. Another election loss won’t crash his political career

The painful truth is that if Atiku does not win the 2027 election, he will likely retire alongside Obi. For both of them, 2027 appears to be their last real opportunity, although Atiku seems to be in a stronger position to win than Obi. However, if Tinubu wins, both of them may end up retiring at the same time. By the time power rotates back to the South, Obi could be approaching 80, and it is likely to return to the South-West. This is simply the reality.

Peter Obi
Peter Obi@PeterObi·
Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
