If you’re buying the TSX right now, and have chosen Bank/TelCo’s or energy, you’re picking up almost a 3.5% discount. That means your DRiPs are also buying yields at lower cost, making your original investment work harder for you. I love dividend investing

July 2023 was my highest for dividend income yet: $171.98 Telus $294.12 BCE $202.71 CIBC $70.70 EIT $17.85 CSH.UN $185.28 TD $225.78 BNS $199.02 TRP Because all of these payments rolled back in to shares through DRiP’s, it will also be the lowest July out of the next 5 years

5) Passive Income! When you’re ready to draw from your portfolio, selling assets leaves you at the mercy of market pricing. Say markets are down, you could be forced to sell below where you feel comfortable. Dividends keep income coming in regardless of share value.

4) Stock price volatility. Through the last few years we’ve experienced unprecedented volatility in the markets. Knowing you still have a payment coming in can ease the fears of price dips. Partnered with Dividend Reinvestment, you can continue to accumulate at aggressive prices

3) Dividends play a huge role in overall profit from investments. From 1980 to 2019, 75% of the returns of the S&P 500 came from dividends. This means the inclusion of dividend payments made up the majority of what stock investors have realized in returns on investment.

2) Dividend paying companies have historically been safer than non-paying companies. While it’s true that companies can cut payments during times of turmoil, this is very rare among Blue Chip dividend payers

Why I choose to focus on dividend portfolios: 1) DRiPs! Automatically reinvested dividends provide growth and help keep your portfolio allocation balanced, and compound gains without requiring time or effort Swipe==>

So, while crypto might not be for everyone, I believe passive income is. Earning passive income in the form of a deflationary, decentralized currency with a current market cap of 236.97B provides investors with an additional income avenue and exposure to the future of finance

The most advantageous facet of this, is since the “Shanghai” network upgrade was completed in April, once your ETH rewards are deposited in your account, you can then re-stake them and start the process again, creating a compounding event, making rewards on previous rewards.

So why Ether? Since moving from proof of work to proof of stake, adopters of the currency can now choose to leave their tokens on the network to support solving transactions. Users are paid a fee in ETH like interest, for staking their tokens.

(Cont) the funds are updated in the contract holders accounts accordingly, removing the need for intermediaries such as bankers, real estate agents or other facilitators by keeping transactions transparent and impossible to be tampered with.

A smart contract is a program that facilitates the exchange of assets or goods between two parties. The primary feature of a smart contract is that once complete it cannot be altered and becomes public to view on the Blockchain. Also, once the terms of the contract have been met

Ether is the cryptocurrency token on the Etherium Blockchain. It is used to cover the cost for any transaction completed on the Etherium network. The real value of this network comes from its ability to host smart contracts as well as decentralized applications (dApps)

What is Etherium, and how does it work? Ethereum is a blockchain-based computing platform that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications. You can create a decentralized application, which the users of that particular application have decision-making power

The problem today isn’t decentralization or non-regulation, it’s the lack of due diligence. People are too quick to jump at fast money, and too slow to educate themselves on the investments that suit their individual goals and needs.

Two big lessons: 1: Never use a token you created as collateral. 2: Don’t borrow if you run a crypto business. Don't use capital "efficiently". Have a large reserve. Binance has never used BNB for collateral, and we have never taken on debt. Stay #SAFU.🙏

Anyone else feeling terrible about what’s happening at @FTX_Official ? @SBF_FTX has spent millions bailing out smaller firms, lobbying for de-centralization and doing good for the whole crypto space.
