@SwanseaOnline10 Well done welsh government. Reduce speed limit by 33% so low and behold the ticket cost for bus journeys goes up be 27% surprise surprise!

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Wow condescending as well. You truly are a keyboard warrior feeling safe behind his computer screen.

@DrewsonPaul @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment I think it's pretty clear that there are no losers here Paul, just insanity. Learn to read or something. Peace out mush

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Lose an argument so resort to calling someone an idiot. Well done sir, you have stooped very low
English

@DrewsonPaul @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment No it doesn't say I'm a supply teacher. Further proof you can't comprehend the written word. I'm done. You're literally an idiot. Your evidence proved my point. Everyone can see it but you.
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment I did provide the evidence along with explaining to you how desirable works on an application form!!! Yet you refute what’s in black and white. You claim not all public sector jobs say it do please provide evidence or accept you’re wrong lol. Your profile has supply teacher on it
English

@DrewsonPaul @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Why do you keep saying I'm a teacher? I let the first one slip, but it's a bit weird. No, you made the claim all Welsh public sector roles require Welsh and discriminate against those who don't (demonstrably untrue.) YOU provide evidence for your assertion. That's how it works.
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment I’ll await your evidence to prove that there is a job somewhere in the welsh public sector which doesn’t desire welsh which discriminates against non welsh speakers m. Stating you are correct does my count lol. Show me evidence mr teacher.
English

@DrewsonPaul @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment You're deaf because you're sticking your fingers in your ears. You have provided zero evidence. I have provided evidence that disproves what you think. Don't change the goal posts. You wrote it down 👇 it's incorrect x.com/DrewsonPaul/st…
Paul drewson@DrewsonPaul
@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Priority given to welsh speakers when scoring applications prior to interview so even if you are in a predominantly non welsh speaking part of wales if applicants speak welsh they are more likely to interview. This includes all welsh public sector application scores.
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment You are truly a lost cause. I’ve tried to explain how HR works and the use of the term desirable but it’s falling in deaf ears unfortunately. I’d be interested if you could find me a public sector job application in wales that doesn’t state welsh as a desirable please.
English

@DrewsonPaul @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Desirable - it's the law to promote Welsh and this is true for job applications. It is not scored when there is "no requirement". You showed me one job where it stated "no requirement" to speak Welsh. You proved MY point, not yours.
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment as it’s inclusion means that if you had the exact same qualifications and experience as another candidate who spoke welsh they would get the job due to having the ‘desirable’ requirement. This is totally wrong when the need to speak welsh isn’t needed to undertake the jobs tasks.
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment You really are missing the point. The problem is that those who don’t speak welsh are being discriminated against in their own country for the failure of teachers teaching them welsh whilst they were in school. The rationale behind why the question is there is totally irrelevant
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment So you are now claiming that ‘desirable’ qualities are not point scored lol. You have obviously never held interviews or employed anyone. As a teacher it is worrying how blinkered you are. I could send you every advert (this was actually the first one on the site)
English

@DrewsonPaul @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Why have you snipped off the left hand side where it says desirable? See also the attached image which literally explains why it's on the form and why the info is collected. It's not a Welsh essential job, and would not be scored. Poor attempt. Got any more?

English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Here’s a application form for a cleaner at Swansea council. If it’s on the application form it will be scored so if one person speaks welsh and the other doesn’t the point and potentially the interview goes to the welsh speaker. I rest my case

English

@DrewsonPaul @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Not a fan of Welsh government by any stretch of the imagination and certainly not of drakeford. Funny you instantly went there just because I disagree, odd. Show me an application for a binman that says you need to speak Welsh. I'll wait.
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Lol, you sound deluded, are you head mark drakefords fanclub. In answer to your question, yes it is applicable to all public sector jobs at the application stage. I’m intrigued to know where your great knowledge comes from, please divulge.
English

@DrewsonPaul @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment I'm really happy to do homework if you can provide me with any evidence at all to support your assertion, but trust me, I am extremely knowledgeable already in this area, so I'll wait with baited breath.
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment It’s an actual welsh assembly directive. Not sure if you are in HR but if so I’d recommend doing some homework.
English

@DrewsonPaul @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment You think every single job in the Welsh public sector has a Welsh language "score" at application stage? I mean that's not true, at all, I really don't know where to start to be honest.
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment Priority given to welsh speakers when scoring applications prior to interview so even if you are in a predominantly non welsh speaking part of wales if applicants speak welsh they are more likely to interview. This includes all welsh public sector application scores.
English

@1swancelona @Jordon3Jane @WelshGovernment All public sector jobs for starters which sadly accounts for 31% of jobs in wales plus all university jobs in wales so non welsh speakers are definitely discriminated against
