@Con_Tomlinson I grew up here too - left in 2007, and over the next 10 years the rest of my family all left as well. Even in the early 2000s, You only had to walk through Bexleyheath Broadway at school kickout time to see why.

Conservatives have held most of Bexley, an outer London borough that Reform were hoping would flip ahead of the London Mayor election in 2028. Reform gained from Labour in Belvedere and Northumberland Heath, and from Conservatives in Crayford and West Heath. I grew up here. Both Bexleyheath and Sidcup high streets have declined in the last five years. Residents hate Sadiq Khan, don't want any HMOs, and cut down ULEZ cameras so often they've stopped putting them up. Reform didn't win here because their ground game was weak. I received one leaflet, posted in an envelope from central office. Even the Greens were door-knocking, and they don't have a hope in Hell here. I spoke to the guy manning the Reform stall in Bexleyheath highstreet: nice enough, but no enthusiasm. (Maybe he was demoralised by the tales of infighting I've heard in the local branch.) Leading up to election day, Laila Cunningham led an eclectic troupe of multicultural canvassers to deliver leaflets to shoppers. But Bexley residents moved to the Kent border to get away from London and its alienating demographics. They barely like bordering Erith, Abbey Wood, and Thamesmead as is. Many don't want to be a part of the Greater London Authority. Put plainly: they want local, English candidates. That's why the Tories won. Their campaign materials were "Here's local English man and woman, vote for us to keep the parks clean and stop the migrants moving in." That, and the fact that local MP Louis French is well-liked, and things haven't gotten too bad here yet, so some older residents don't notice what's going on across the country. I'm not saying the Conservatives fare better in the London Mayoral race. But Reform is standing the wrong candidate and has the wrong strategy for this area. Cunningham just isn't who most Bexley residents want. If they want to win in 2028 and the next general election, they need to put more effort in.

@PaulGolding This lot, at this particular time, aren't breaking the law. If it's not illegal, you are free to act as you want. Do you lot not remember punk from years ago? Skinheads? mods? Every generation has these subcultures that glorify rebellion, and that's all these kids are doing

Andrej Karpathy just said something nobody wants to hear: You can outsource your thinking. YOU CANNOT OUTSOURCE YOUR UNDERSTANDING. AI agents can process information, build knowledge bases, and generate new views of the same data. But the human still has to know: - what is being built - why it matters - how to direct the system The people winning with AI right now are not the ones with the best tools. They are the ones who understand what they are building deeply enough to know when the AI is wrong. That is the skill nobody is teaching.

In his debate with Gary Priestley, Gary Stevenson claims he makes so much money on the markets, his kids will be multimillionaires, while also claiming that everyone else cannot afford to feed their kids or keep the heating on. Strange then, that after a hiatus last year, his return video announced the launch of his Patreon, directly asking his audience, whom he describes as struggling, to fund his work. He explained that, despite his massive personal wealth, he needs their support to create more 'ambitious' and 'creative' content beyond simple talking-head videos. Yet since launching the Patreon, he has released 22 videos in the exact same format, with fewer guests than in earlier periods. He has 2,121 paid subscribers on Patreon, meaning that at a minimum he makes £153k a year from his viewers. He likely makes a similar amount from ad revenue alone, let alone the millions he claims to make on the markets. His entire platform is built on the idea that the rich extract wealth from everyone else. The brazen hypocrisy of him doing this to his own viewers, in the most direct way possible, is incredible.

Today we announce a new policy: In order to deport all illegal migrants in Britain, Reform will need to detain tens of thousands at a time. Migrants will not be able to leave these detention centres, and each will be held there a couple of weeks before being deported. So here’s our promise: A Reform government will not put any migrant detention facilities in any constituency with a Reform MP. Nor will we put them where Reform controls the council. And of the remaining areas, we will prioritise Green controlled parliamentary constituencies and Green controlled councils to locate the detention centres. Put simply, if you vote in a Reform council or Reform MP, we guarantee you won’t have a detention centre near you. If you vote Green, there’s a good chance you will. This is an important exercise in democratic consent, not just for our mass deportation policy, but for where the detention centres are placed. Given @ZackPolanski openly advocates for open borders, I look forward to their warm embrace of this policy. votegreengetillegals.com

@LozzaFox It is well known locally in Eltham that Lawrence was a petty drug dealer trying to muscle in on a rival gangs patch, and got himself stabbed after being warned what would happen. He had nobody to blame but himself, and the colour of his skin was just hallenstance

What happened to Stephen Lawrence was disgusting and disgraceful. It resonates all the more for how mercifully rare these racist murders have been in our great country. I have no respect for politicians who use his tragic murder to spin a lie whilst remaining silent on the systemic rape of 250,000 white British girls at the hands of predominantly Pakistani men. Where is their outrage at this ongoing abomination? White lives matter too. Is that too much to ask?

Today marks the anniversary of the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence, my friend’s brother. We must tell a positive story of Englishness grounded in the England we are, not the England the far right wants us to be. #PMQs

@Grummz Conspiracies aside, we HAVE to solve safe & legally verifiable humanity signatures in the digital world. In under 2 years, AI has become nearly indistinguishable from humans; if we can't prove we are who we are and when deterministically, the fallout will be insurmountable

@GoodwinMJ Restore are just where Reform was a year ago, so your retort of "Yer but muh experience" is lazy. Reform's led by 10 people who already f*d it up as Tories. If you want the right's vote back, You need to challenge their policies & show why you're better, not lean on tired tropes.

A new political party that a bunch of unknown amateurs think will save Britain is standing just … 10 people in Great Yarmouth. While the actual party that will save Britain, that just beat Labour in Manchester, that won the local elections last year, and is number 1 in the national polls is standing … 5,000 people across the country. That’s the difference. Never forget that going viral online is not the same thing as building a serious political machine. Britain is in Last Chance Saloon. We don’t have time for inexperienced amateurs. We need political power. That’s the only way we save this country. Voting Reform on May 7th is the only way we save this country.

Micron shares are in free fall this week. - Be Micron. - Get excited about Sam Altman singing letters “intending” to buy 40% of DRAM. - Close your entire Crucial consumer memory division so you can sell gamer RAM to OpenAI. - Sam Altman loses investors, never buys the RAM he signed letters for. - Google announces breakthrough saving AI 6x the RAM. - Micron now stuck with all this RAM and no way more division to sell to consumers.
