We have no fixed hiring limit at Valve, so we can make a call on each candidate independently. That allows us to tell a candidate our decision in-person at the end of a full day of interviews. Whichever way it goes, I think candidates appreciate knowing right away. 20/n

Some people seemed to get value out of the thread I posted a while back about job applications. So I thought I'd follow-up with some notes about the next stages of the process. Again, I'll have Valve (vaguely) in mind, but most of this advice would apply to any tech job. 1/n
