Using $PUMP PA as the reason to not incorporate buybacks for $MET is a horrible decision from @0xSoju These are two completely different projects: $PUMP is the best risk-on assets on SOL & a reflection of onchain sentiment (extremely reflexive) $MET is a SOL beta imo and will likely perform how $RAY, $JUP, etc do (haven't researched much tbf) Soju is right that it wouldn't directly improve PA too much, but buybacks have become the standard If a protocol token doesn't have buybacks, it's written off as extractive/useless So by not doing buybacks, Soju is willingly putting $MET below the standard Soju is right that buybacks alone aren't enough though and I agree sometimes it can be wasteful. Giving holders voting rights, using cash for expansion, etc are equally important But buybacks should be implemented before all of this
