@Wassonyourmind2 @BrokenRoadsGame Hey - it has a cosmetic change in the dates you see in the UI but it won't affect the overall storyline
English

@DropBearBytes @BrokenRoadsGame I have a question. I finally purchased the game after getting my new computer. There is an option for Noongar calendar. It seems interesting, does it change the game in any way?

Holy fuck guys we’re not "pushing hard" for or replacing concept artists with AI.
We have a team of 72 artists of which 23 are concept artists and we are hiring more. The art they create is original and I’m very proud of what they do.
I was asked explicitly about concept art and our use of Gen AI. I answered that we use it to explore things. I didn’t say we use it to develop concept art. The artists do that. And they are indeed world class artists.
We use AI tools to explore references, just like we use google and art books. At the very early ideation stages we use it as a rough outline for composition which we replace with original concept art. There is no comparison.
I talked about how we use ML here if you would like to know more:

We've hired creatives for their talent, not for their ability to do what a machine suggests, but they can experiment with these tools to make their lives easier.

Sorry for the lack of substantial updates over the past month. I have been grinding away at a lot of tasks that aren't particularly interesting to show off. I have also been polishing up the combat sprites and they are looking a lot cleaner now.
We are still hard at work on the demo and there is a lot of big progress being made!

@DualShockers @BrokenRoadsGame It's a shadow the game will likely never come out from, unfortunately.
English

@DualShockers A year+ on and media are still expressing their disappointment that Broken Roads was not Disco Elysium, despite @BrokenRoadsGame not being inspired by Disco Elysium and us going to a lot of effort to note that design and writing was almost a year underway before Disco launched.

In honor of Neal's @nealiios upcoming book on the series, let's talk Heroes of M&M! As you know, this was a very successful spinoff from NWC's epic Might & Magic CRPGs series. Released in 1995, it's a turn-based strategy game with RPG elements, set in the Enroth universe.
Pre-order Neal's book right now: a.co/d/4TgQjCz
Though not as slick as the third game, it definitely laid the groundwork. Explore, gather resources, recruit armies, and conquer that beautiful map!
You might not realize that an even earlier game, King's Bounty from 1990, included many of these features, but perhaps the boost from the M&M franchise helped put this series over the top.
Compared to the later games, this one's fairly limited. You choose from four leaders: Knight, Barbarian, Sorceress, and Warlock. However, each gets unique rosters and stats.
I've included a screenshot from the GameBoy Color version. Whaaaat? There seems to be some confusion over whether it was multiplayer. As far as I can tell from the manual and moby, it did not, though perhaps some fan remakes added it later. It's a shame, really, because it would've been an excellent use of the handheld's MP capabilities.
I started the M&M series with 6, and it was such a great period of my life. I'd play the main games until I beat them, then shift over to Heroes for their replay value and multiplayer. I'd do anything for one more weekend with my college buddies playing Heroes into the wee hours of the night. So much fun!
Be sure to download the manual if you play. It's almost 100 pages packed with extremely useful info delivered in a friendly fashion. The best part is the "Letters from Lord Ironfist," which amounts to short story. No fewer than five people were assigned just to this manual! NWC was amazing.
Do you have fun stories about the game or know some BTS lore or anything else? Sound off in the comments!

@CSH_Picone @TempestRTS Are these mods/unofficial content (or are these literally the GDI and Nod factions from C&C in this game?)
English

Just finished both the @TempestRTS GDI and NOD campaigns. Great game. Can't wait for the Scrin campaign to release!
Review coming soon but if you're an RTS gamer and on the fence, get it. Tempest Rising is basically all your favourite C&C levels and story jammed into one game.
