In case anyone is curious, the rods are actually pretty secured. I started by drilling a hole from the bottom, insert pieces of the wider rod and then drill a small hole in the center of the rod again. The wider rod than get inserted at the other end to fill up the hole.

A few people pointed out the modification might be fragile. I should have been more clear. Instead of just gluing pieces on the notch, I actually drilled a hole from the bottom side of the piece and pushed a single plastic rod upward. Then I fill back the hole.

I always wonder if something like this is feasible to make at 1/144 scale. Did I come close? 🤔

@TylerTinsley 🤔 not exactly sure what you mean but I do plan on filling the lowered area with half cylinder tubes like you would typically see in MG elbows / knee joints.

@DropColony Thats not bad. Did you consider remaking the part using tubes instead?

I have been thinking how I can scratch build round fingers for a long time. It is definitely one of those times where I was too occupied with whether I could but never stopped to think if I should. For what it provided, it was waaaaaay too time consuming.

Damn! Now I really want to go to shizuoka again.

How far I am willing to go to avoid having to sand this seam.

I made some very primitive jigs trying to scratch build some fingers using runner rods.

@KLeeToy0393 Yeah. The red 0.1mm holder had a special place in my heart. I have been holding it for hours unend for 6 or 7 years so that felt kinda sad.😭

@DropColony At least the actual blade of those bmc werent ruined, the holders is easier to replace🙈
