Not true in todays era doing anything above 100k first week means you’re doing amazing and for an artist that came out in 1999 to do nearly 300k is outstanding.

Comparing CD sales vs streaming two totally different eras find me 10 hip hop artists who are 15+ years old doing 300k first week with streams.
