I find the code wars in Australia tiresome. Akin to watching Ireland play NZ in front of 80,000 and a GAA reporter writes yes but wasn’t as good as Mayo busting the 75 year curse at Croke Park. Why not just appreciate both?!

Leadership appointments should be relational rather than individual. A captain should not be selected only because he is a good captain in isolation, but because his authority, temperament and social role work with the manager, the wider leadership network and the team. The strongest leader might not be the best leader. Certain managers, squads and moments would benefit from specific personalities or profiles of captain. What's the individual benefit of captaincy on the captain and then on the team – socially and culturally.

@liquorbox_ You’re wrong, it has a lot to do with Australia, with our sense of self, and it features a character called Clarence who can’t be killed, and whose many wounds self-heal, but remains cheerful, so in many ways is similar to a Wallabies fan.

🇦🇷 Argentina wearing a 1986 World Cup tribute change kit. Good to see the home side wearing the CHANGE kit in rugby tradition. It was a total nonsense that was ever changed to supposedly be "modern". Away team wearing away kit is a football term and tradition. It is arbitrary either way so why change the rugby tradition? It would be like rugby sides changing to football tradition of vertical stripes over horizontal and calling it "modern". A total nonsense.
