Dear Friends,
I'm sorry to tell you that Barry Coope passed away on Saturday 6th November after a short illness. He was at home where he wanted to be and was able to spend time with his family and friends and listen to the music he loved. Those friends who knew of his illness 1/3

@oddsockstweets have made a touching tribute to Mick Peat using the trophy awarded to them at @DerbyFolk, using to mend the last ridge tile on the chapel roof which they have been repairing, and carved Mick’s name into the cement too as a mark of respect.
We think he'd approve!

The worthy recipients of the inaugural Mick Peat Drystone Bursary at @DerbyFolk were @oddsockstweets who received £2,500 towards the restoration of Lea Chapel as a rehearsal and performance/exhibition space, which they will share with the community and other arts organisations.
