Supporting 8th grade math from where they are (exemplars) to exemplars on 🔥. We practiced the lesson “live” and added in monitoring laps of what to 👀for when monitoring ss work. When Ts are intentional , Ss have no “what do I do” questions. @BowieMSOdessa @ECISDmath @Ecisd_OC

They understood the assignment. ⭐️at least 5 coordinates in each quadrant, ⭐️ 1 fraction and decimal coordinate had to be represented in each quadrant, & be creative. 💜 @BowieMSOdessa @ECISDmath

2nd block of class is the perfect time to let ss settle & process the learning. Math games are always 🔥 Here we are practicing multiplying and dividing fractions & then there’s a whole other group of ssworking on FEV. We ❤️ the 2nd block. @BowieMSOdessa @ECISDmath

Silent board game is what my students live. It gives them the opportunity to think independently while silently collaborating with everyone in the class. Ss love the challenge of having to find the missing parts to create an equivalent equation. @BowieMSOdessa @ECISDmath #impact

39 is the newest game/challenge in my room. Fun way to enhance fluency, but challenges the kids. They are 🤯. I’ve only had 2 groups master the challenge. Thank you @ECISDmath for always sharing fun ways to engage our Ss and building their love of math. 💜@BowieMSOdessa

Today I introduced 2 games that will be added to our fluency station. I was impressed with how fast my Ss came up with 24 using all operations. I loved how excited they were to play 24 and multiplication war. 💜 @ECISDmath @BowieMSOdessa #impact @Ecisd_OC @OppCulture
